2025-26 Ambassadors Fund-A-Need: Chariot

This year’s Fund-A-Need is supporting the incredible Stanford Chariot Program!

Chariot’s mission is to pioneer and accelerate the use of immersive, therapeutic technologies to enhance the well-being of pediatric patients. Through groundbreaking tools like virtual and augmented reality, Chariot helps ease pain and anxiety, promote recovery, and enrich the hospital experience for children. The team has developed over 20 cutting-edge applications using VR, AI, and other immersive technologies—each designed to bring comfort, joy, and healing to young patients at Stanford Children’s and in hospitals worldwide.

The Stanford Chariot Program is funded entirely through philanthropy. In a remarkable spirit of giving, Chariot pays it forward by sharing its research and software, completely free of charge, through a partnership between Stanford and a nonprofit organization, helping children far beyond their own walls.

Your Support Will Help Young People Thrive

Every dollar you give brings us closer to a world where hospital stays feel less frightening—and more hopeful—for children and their families.

Your support accelerates the development and delivery of Chariot’s immersive, therapeutic technologies, helping to ease pain, reduce anxiety, and improve outcomes for pediatric patients at Packard Children’s and beyond. You’re not just expanding the reach of the Chariot Program—you’re transforming the hospital experience itself. Through your generosity, families facing medical challenges can find comfort, courage, and connection when they need it most.

Your gift powers groundbreaking research and brings the latest virtual reality and AI tools to all children, more quickly. Your commitment makes all the difference—and we are deeply grateful.
