Healing Marcus's Heart
Born with a critical heart defect, Marcus required urgent specialized care that the hospital where he was born couldn't provide. Shortly after he was born, Marcus was rushed to our Betty Irene Moore Children's Heart Center by the Critical Care Transport team—a mobile ICU equipped with cutting-edge technology.
There, our world-class network of cardiovascular specialists performed lifesaving open-heart surgery when Marcus was just 2 days old. Today, he is a thriving and healthy 1-year-old.
