Please join the Ambassadors for Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford for our 11th annual Lunch and Learn featuring Paralympic Athlete and author of the New York Times Best Selling On My Own Two Feet, Amy Purdy.

At 19, after experiencing flu-like symptoms, Amy was rushed to the hospital in a state of septic shock. She was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis and was given less than a 2 percent chance of survival. Due to the lack of circulation she suffered, doctors had to amputate her legs below the knee. After going through this life-altering experience, Amy went on to become a world-class Paralympic snowboarder. Her creativity, positive outlook, and never-give-up attitude have inspired millions.

Event proceeds will benefit the Ambassadors’ 2017-2018 Fund-A-Need. Can’t attend the event? You can give a 100 percent tax deductible gift to the Fund-A-Need:

With a goal of $175,000 the Ambassadors have generously decided to fund a Pediatric Fellow in the Stanford Emergency Department which will help Packard Children’s become a leader in pediatric emergency medicine as they build the pipeline of future pediatric emergency medicine specialists.
